Prime Rib Cooking Instruction

  1. Cook roast in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees -- 20 minutes for a Full Roast and 15 minutes for a Half Roast.

  2. Reduce temperature to 325 degrees.

  3. Use a meat thermometer to determine desired internal temperature.
  • RARE: 135 Degrees
  • MEDIUM RARE: 145 Degrees
  • WELL DONE: 155 Degrees

(Temperature will increase 5 degrees AFTER removing from the oven.)

  1. Cooking time for Rare is approximately 14 minutes per pound and Medium Rare is approximately 16 minutes per pound.
